While you hadn’t spoken a single word to her about NYADA(or even said the word NYADA) until after you proposed to her. And that was only about tagging along to New York.

Stumbled across this and found it quite intriguing.

The only nice thing Finn ever did for Rachel was tell her she didn’t need anything or anyone tying her down to Lima. The writers forgot that and definitely did us one better(sarcasm) and had him propose to undo all the respect I had left for Finn and his ability to understand Rachel’s dreams and ambition. He is making a hard road harder. He’s an idiot and she’s pathetic.

There is nothing that screams ‘good boyfriend’ about feeding a vegan meat or leaving the girl you supposedly love with no ride home in the middle of the night. People just forget these things because he sings a song or makes a speech and aww isn’t that so sweet, it totally makes up for how sick meat can makes a vegan.

The thing I don’t get about Finchel is that the writers write him as the most unlikeable self centered ass of a character who clearly does not give two shits about his girlfriend.

And that’s not just us lot TRYING to find flaws in Finn because we prefer other ships or whatever. It has no element of bias whatsoever in that interpretation of his character…

I mean HELLO, he gave her meat (something i seriously still cannot get over. Why the hell would they put that in there besides make him look like an even bigger ass), he said she wasn’t special to her face, to name just a few incidents recently.

Like, are they TRYING to make him the shittiest boyfriend ever?! Cos I don’t see any way they can be viewed as romantic.

Yet people are still INSANE over finchel. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Seriously do they watch the same show? Yet they tell US we’re wrong/delusional whatever. To me it seems as though they’re the ones twisting the show to make his actions seem holyer than thou and perfect and oh so sweet. 

No. Hate to break it to you. But Finn is a douche, canon.

Rachel’s opening monologue was about her dreams and how hard she works and how no one is just going to hand it to you. Finn’s complete lack of ambition, drive, and work ethic is one big reason I can’t ship them. It’s a recurring issue for Finn - he believes everything should be handed to him, no matter if he deserves it or not. He rarely puts in the effort, and only does if someone has yelled at him for his inaction. How.. just … how does anyone think they work?

The douchey things he did to Rachel:

1. He never listens to Rachel even though he’s her boyfriend
2. He took Rachel on a date when she specifically told him she didn’t want any distractions
3. He forced himself onto Rachel on said date and continued to act like a child when she turned him down
4. He kissed Rachel on stage at Nationals jeopardizing his TEAM’S victory which was a selfish thing for him and Rachel to do
5. Finn fed Rachel meat without telling her
6. Finn then proceeded to feed Rachel pound cake with eggs even after knowing she’s a vegan
7. He constantly pursued Rachel when she was dating Jesse which is just plain wrong. 
8. He broke up with Rachel just to find his ‘inner rock star’ leaving her broken hearted
9. He ruined Rachel’s Prom because of the silly idea that no one can have her except for him
10. He treated Rachel as if she were a trophy instead of a human being whilst shoving his ‘win’ in Jesse’s face
11. Finn egged Rachel and never apologized
12. He constantly led her on in season 1
13. He called Rachel a ‘sad clown hooker’ 
14. He gives her backhanded compliments ‘She’s a controllist’
15. Finn insults Rachel in Blame it on the alcohol by calling her a needy drunk. 
16. He ditched Rachel for the photo shoot just to save his image
17. Finn will always choose football over Rachel
18. He confirmed that no one likes Rachel when she was confiding in him which is a douchey thing to do
19. He was being a hypocrite when he broke up with Rachel. 
20. Finn was not cool when it came to Rachel’s virginity in season two and proceeded to call her a prude
21. He never defended Rachel in front of the Glee club, only when they were alone
22. He never stood up for her when she was being bullied by Santana and Quinn
23. He laughed at her when Santana insulted her
24. He liked about sleeping with Santana when he knew that this information would be important for Rachel to know
25. He said that Rachel’s boobs weren’t great but they were still girl boobs which is highly offensive considering Rachel’s insecure about her body
26. He yelled at Rachel for rightfully being angry with him
27. He never said sorry to her. Not once
28. Finn was saving up for a hotel room even though she specifically said she would wait. Even though circumstances did change, this is a real douchey move on Finn’s part. 
29. He had gotten mad at Rachel for kissing Puck when he had done the same thing later.
30. He said Rachel creeps him out in a swim fan kinda way and checked under his bed to see of she was there

The douchey things he did to Quinn:

1. He cheated on her with Rachel even after he found out she was pregnant with his supposed baby.
2. He meddled with her relationship with Sam just so he could be with her which is selfish considering she was happy with Sam
3. He broke up with her at a funeral. How classy of him
4. He then coaxed Quinn to break up with Sam only to leave her within weeks which was extremely douchey
5. He insinuated that Quinn was an ‘unfeeling’ person
6. He told Quinn that he still loved her when they broke up, yeah because that will make things any better. 
7. He spied on Quinn and insinuated that she was cheating on him when she was just helping Sam out.
8. He told her parents that she was pregnant when she didn’t want him to, because HE was ready for people to know, which resulted in her getting kicked out of the house.
9. He told Quinn you can’t love two people at the same time but he did that for all season 1 and 2

The douchey things he did to Kurt:

1. He never stood up for him, and when Rachel expressed her disappointment in him (like a parent) he sang a stupid song which hardly rectifies what he did
2. He promised Kurt he won’t let anyone touch him and guess what? Next season Kurt’s getting death threats and Finn’s not even there to help him get through this
3. Finn basically called Kurt a ‘fag’ which is deplorable (did he apologize? I don’t remember)
4. He doesn’t pray for Kurt’s dad, he prays to touch Rachel’s boobs. 
5. He shouted at Kurt for not telling him that Burt was in the hospital. Yeah, way to be a supportive brother Finn. 
6. He used to slushie Kurt and throw him in the dumpsters
7. He insinuated that Kurt was cheating on Blaine just by the looks of what went on outside of Sam’s motel
8. He told Sam that it was social suicide to sing a duet with Kurt. 

The douchey things he did to Sam:

1. He prayed for to Sam kicked out from the position of Quarterback for his selfish needs instead of his team’s. Sam was clearly superior
2. He got Sam badly injured in a game
3. He proceeded to spy on Quinn only hurting Sam in the process by making him uncover his secret of losing all his money
4. He hurt Sam by making Quinn cheat on him when it was so obvious that he still loved Quinn

The Douchey things he did to Blaine:

1. He didn’t welcome Blaine to the club like the rest of the club did
2. He continues to tell Blaine that he’s not in Dalton anymore and that he isn’t the star of the Club
3. He tried to promote ‘togetherness’ but continues to rides on Blaine just because he’s threatened
4. “Blaine, SIT THE FUCK DOWN” - Now this isn’t verbatim but my point still holds
5. Finn always gives Blaine a menacing look even though Blaine is supporting him. 

The Douchey things he did to Jesse:

1. He went after his girl the second Jesse leaves which is not cool
2. He ruined Jesse’s time with Rachel at the Prom by bringing up the egging over and over again when he shouldn’t really say anything because he egged Rachel too
3. Finn tried to punch Jesse for having a good time with Rachel
4. Finn continued to rub the fact that he ‘won’ in Jesse’s face when Jesse didn’t even try to put up a fight. 
5. Finn told Rachel that Jesse would never be with her if she were a ‘vocal cripple’ which is totally untrue. Finn doesn’t know the first think about Jesse’s relationship with Rachel. 
6. Finn ousted Rachel and Jesse’s clandestine relationship all because he was jealous that Rachel had moved on with Jesse

The douchey things he did to Santana and Brittany: 

1. He slept with Santana and said it didn’t mean anything - Even though she was willing it’s still a douchey thing to do..
2. He outs Santana in the middle of the hallway and doesn’t care about the repercussions of his actions by the looks of how cozy he was with Rachel
3. Finn told Santana that “no one cares” when it’s obviously NOT true
4. He called Brittany an idiot 
5. Not only did he tell Brittany that she’s an idiot he insinuated that she was acting like a child in Pot o’ Gold. 
6. Finn made Santana uncomfortable by saying Brittany doesn’t love Santana back, which is not true (since Brittany said she is indeed dating Santana in Pot O’ Gold
7. Finn knew about Rory’s scheme to sleep with Brittany and he didn’t anything about it (alert Brittany, tell Rory it’s a wrong thing to do). 
8. Finn insinuated that Brittany was like “rain man with boobs”

The douchey things he did to Rory:

1. He saw that Rory was being bullied and didn’t do jack shit about it
2. When Rory was trying to be nice to Finn, he reverted back to his homophobic self and said that you don’t become friends instantly

The douchey things he did to everyone else: 

1. He chose football over his team over and over again
2. Finn is barely a leader. He doesn’t help his team members when they are in need (especially when they’re all being bullied)
3. He thinks of himself first, then the team. I don’t know how you guys spell it, but there is no “I” in “Team”. 
4. He (and Rachel) ruined Nationals for the team (Great team player huh?)

Now I know Finn is a ‘teenager’ and he’s allowed to make mistakes but he barely ever learns from his mistakes and barely ever apologizes to the people he hurt. This is why I hate Finn, he’s a hypocritical, condescending jerk who thinks he’s entitled to do and say anything he wants without having to worry about apologizing. Finn is a horrible person, and sure, he’s lost and all but that doesn’t mean that we should all just brush all of his mistakes under the rug and pretend that they never happen or just claim them to be “OOC”. Finn has done SO MANY bad things that now whenever he is just being a douche, it isn’t OOC, it’s actually quite fitting of him. I also won’t take the argument “love means never having to say you’re sorry” because we all know that’s total and utter crap and a desperate attempt to justify why Finn has never apologized to Rachel. 

Let’s just say, if the Glee club had a Douchebag jar for Finn, they would have enough money to take them all across the country in First Class to pay for Nationals by the end of the year…

PS. You guys can yell at me all you want. But I’m just pointing out the cold hard facts about Finn Hudson.
